As managing director of the cybersecurity practice at Valencia, Aron specializes in risk assessment, program development, audits, vulnerability and breach management. 

In 1998, Aron founded Cygnos Information Security, developing a national consultancy acquired by a top five international accounting and advisory firm in 2012. 

Aron has managed and delivered hundreds of projects across all levels of government, health care, finance, and critical infrastructure. Notable engagements include Canada's first ISO 27001 certification of a national health institute, securing our government's classified networks, high assurance audits of IT security, and the development of municipal IT security programs. 

He is an active volunteer, published author and educator.  He is a regular participant in national industry events and sometimes flavour of the day at CBC, CTV, Global News, the Financial Post. 

A former Stockbroker, Aron holds a degree in behavioural sciences psychology from Carleton University. Aron maintains certifications for privacy and security including CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CRMA, and CIPP/C, MCSE, CNE. He is cleared Top Secret. 

He has four boys and an amazing wife. He is grateful every day. Well, most days!
